In local elections the IEC adds votes across the ward, PR and district ballots, so we show valid votes per ballot instead of one "votes cast" total.
Turnout is calculated as PR ballots cast ÷ registered voters, from the IEC's results for the 1 628 voting districts with results so far here (946 651 of 1 827 840). The IEC publishes 49.7%.
The change beside the headline is the difference between the leading party's share here and its share in the 2021 election for the same province, both from the IEC's counts, with no votes re-allocated between boundaries.
Note: the IEC's published turnout for this province is 49.73%; its own counts give 51.79% (PR ballots cast ÷ registered voters in its voting districts); we show the calculated figure.
